Marathon Infinity for MAC
Free first-person shooter for Mac: the third Marathon game, with a 20-level campaign, co-op, online matches and optional high-definition graphics.
Marathon Infinity Overview
Marathon Infinity is the third game in Bungie's Marathon trilogy, a first-person shooter that is free to download as a ready-to-run Mac app. Its solo and co-op campaign, Blood Tides of Lh'owon, is a 20-level scenario with new textures, weapons and aliens. Having defeated the Pfhor and reawakened the ancient remnants of the S'pht, you face a world where friends become enemies and all is not what it seems, and the campaign sheds new light on the characters and events of the series.
The game runs on Aleph One, the open-source continuation of Bungie's Marathon engine, available under the GPL-3.0 licence. Bungie's trademarks are used with permission. This release comes with Aleph One 1.11.1, a security and bug fix update that the project asks everyone to install, especially anyone who plays online. Installing takes one step: open the disk image and copy the app to your Applications folder. Up to 8 people can play together, and Infinity is the Marathon game most often played online. The project does not state a minimum macOS version on its download page.
